Flower, Bird and Fish Paintings

Kriss, a member on the site, mentioned beginning painting with oils using Annette Kowalski videos. I did the same thing - and I don't regret it. I also sold some of the paintings I did in Annette's style and learnt a huge amount in the process. Also, the Annette Kowalski approach teaches how to use oils in a professional manner. I may now have learnt a lot more about oil painting, but the techniques i initially studied remain fairly much the same. At a later stage I met with Gary and Kathwren Jenkins and these two wonderful artists showed me how to take basic concepts of oil painting to a more advanced level. So, don't let some artists tell you you don't know what you are doing. If you are painting well, enjoying and even selling your art , then you are on the right track.
